Ian and Wendy Clay have lived in Salmon Arm for 21 years, and enjoy the natural beauty and friendly atmosphere of the Shuswap.
Travel and photography are two of their interests, so combining the two only seemed natural. In 2007 they traveled to India for a month, taking thousands of digital photo images. A digital slide show was produced after their return, which was presented to two appreciative audiences at the Salmar Classic Theatre in Salmon Arm in the fall of 2007 and spring of 2008. An earlier trip to China in 2003 also resulted in two narrated slide shows shown to the community.
Ian and Wendy are long-time members of the Shuswap Photo Arts Club and Salmon Arm Toastmasters Club. Other mutual interests include cycling and hiking. As part of the Shuswap Greenways Committee Ian has laid out and built trails in Coyote Park and is presently working on a new trail network in Canoe. Ian works in Vernon for the Ministry of Forests, Timber Sales and Wendy is editor of the Lakeshore News in Salmon Arm.
