Biography:

Jean Goodyear was born in the hamlet of Nashville, Ontario. She has traveled extensively and has lived abroad for seven years. She and her husband, Rick, lived in both northern and southern California after returning from Cyprus. They moved to Sorrento in 2005 so Jean could see water and “big trees that didn’t need to be watered by hand”! Aside from two night school art classes in the early 80’s, Jean has no formal training in painting but is currently working with teacher Sherry Damm in Sorrento.

Jean is finding retirement does not provide enough hours in the day for her to do all she is interested in. She goes to the Cedar Heights Fitness classes, line dances, plays snooker with the ladies’ group, is helping with the membership committee at Cedar Heights and gardens. Summers will find her fishing with Rick at their trailer on White Lake, trying to catch up with the reading she doesn’t seem to have time for in the winter months, walking with a group of White Lake ladies and playing scrabble.
