The Olympic Torch Relay

BLIND BAY, BC
JANUARY 27, 2010

The Blind Bay community turned out to wave their flags in welcome of the Olympic Torch Relay amongst cheers, fanfare, and even some dancing in the street, accompanied by tunes from a local band.

The festivities took place along Blind Bay Road against the backdrop of the waters of the beautiful bay, blue mountains and sunny skies.

A free lunch was served, and enjoyed by the whole community prior to the arrival of the Torch.

The Celebration was hosted by the South Shuswap Chamber of Commerce with the assistance of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts.
